The Teperberg Essence Fortesse (Fortified Red Dessert wine) is made from 100% Merlot grapes from mature vines. After fortification, the wine was aged for 15 months in French Oak. It is full-bodied, rich, and soft with a long, enjoyable finish. Because of their alcohol content and strong flavors, fortified wines are typically sipped from small glasses of no more than 50ml. They are most commonly drunk before or after dinner and the Fortesse pairs great with chocolate cake and vanilla ice cream.
