Our Story

We were friends who thought we were in Israel for vacation...

In reality, each one of us responded to an invitation for an adventure much bigger than we could have imagined. Because of our passion for wine, we went in search of the best vineyards in Israel.

We were blown away with the quality and uniqueness of the wine we tasted and realized we wanted to share it with our friends back home. The challenge was, wine from Israel isn’t easy to find in the United States. So, we made it our mission to change that.

In May 2019, we launched Israeli Good Wine, a club that that brings amazing wines from the land of Israel to your door in time for your next gathering around the table.

How we work

Step 1: The Exploration

Each year, we spend time in Israel to source wine directly from local winemakers.

Step 2: The Export

We work with winemakers and importers to bring only the finest wines from the land of Israel to the USA.

Step 3: The Curation

Our Sommeliers help us curate each wine in our box or online retail store to perfectly reflect the quality and terroir of Israel.

Step 4: The Delivery

We ship your box of customized or curated wines straight to your doorstep. We also have people who order their wine on-demand through our retail store.

Step 5: The Enjoyment

L'Chaim! It's time to pop a cork, enjoy your wine, and share it around the table!

We’re thankful to say that some or all of our team is in Israel on a regular basis scouting for new and interesting wines, building relationship with the vineyard and winery owners, and dreaming about what the future holds for Israel, you, and me.

We’ve made it our mission to bring the best wines from Israel, so we put the legwork to taste at wineries, regularly visiting 40-60 each trip—many of whom have become like family.

Bringing Stories to the Table

Not only do we bring elegant wines, but we spend time and effort to bring high-quality storytelling and behind-the-scenes from the vineyards, wineries, winemakers, and families in Israel who make your wines.

Whether it’s medium-form video content, written books like recipe guides and booklets, or special gifts from Israel, we strive to bring the spirit of Israel through intentional virtual and physical experiences.

Daniel Elliott

Co-Founder | WSET II Sommelier

Daniel is the co-founder and owner that oversees the business development and ambassador program at Israeli Good Wine. He is passionate about people and leads the team in making connections in Israel and in the U.S., building strategic partnerships, and enjoys a good whiskey when he’s not tasting Israeli wines. He and his wife Alana live in East Texas and have a dog, Shiloh. Daniel is an avid hunter and a specialist in roofing and construction.

Alana Elliott

Co-Founder | WSET II Sommelier

Alana is the co-founder and owner that runs the day-to-day operations at Israeli Good Wine. Among many other things, she specializes in crafting our Member Experience, making wine selections, and curating events. With a background in building and scaling coffeeshops, Alana brings expertise and excellence to everything she touches. She is passionate about creating new experiences at the table—whether through food or drink, being in nature, and building community. When she’s not at home, Alana travels frequently with her husband Daniel, where they rack up a lot of airline points, and have mastered the art of packing efficiently.

Elizabeth Erickson

Co-Founder | WSET II Sommelier

Elizabeth is the co-founder and owner that is responsible for marketing, branding, and licensing/legal for Israeli Good Wine. As a serial entrepreneur, she began this adventure as the one most interested in wine at the outset, but she also loves studying the brain, writing, and teaching on mental and emotional health (and wine of course!). She resides in Dallas and enjoys inviting people into her home to drink Israeli wine, taking trail walks with her dog, Barnes, and dreams of one day having a full-fledged garden—which is currently still just a dream.

Kevin Holland

Co-Founder

Kevin is the co-founder and owner that is responsible for the logistics at Israeli Good Wine. The idea for the company came initially from Kevin, which is ironic because he’s really more of a beer-drinker. With a background in aviation, Kevin is an integral part of the team, ensuring quality control and a standard of excellence in each shipment that is received and sent from our warehouse. He’s an avid traveler and loves to explore new places with no set agenda.
