The Alfasi family founded Odem Mountain Winery, Israel’s northernmost winery. At 1100 meters above sea level, it is tucked away in the heart of an enchanting, secluded oak forest in the northern Golan Heights. The Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Nebbiolo grapes used for this wine grow at Odem Vineyard. Moderate temperature, plenty of Israeli summer sunlight and the unique micro-climate of the area, allow the grapes to ripen beautifully in the volcanic tuff, a pores rocky soil formed from relatively soft volcanic ash.
