Founded by the Alfasi family, Odem Mountain Winery is Israel’s northernmost winery. At 1,100 meters above sea level, it is tucked away in the heart of an enchanting, secluded oak forest in the northern Golan Heights. The Cabernet Sauvignon grapes that are used for this wine grow at Odem Vineyard. Moderate temperature, plenty of Israeli summer sunlight, and the unique microclimate of the area, allow the grapes to ripen beautifully in the volcanic tuff—a porous, rocky soil formed from relatively soft volcanic ash.
